The logistics industry is accelerating the construction of a pallet circulation and sharing system.
It was learned at the Promotion Conference on the Circular Sharing of Pallets in the Yangtze River Economic Belt that from 2009 to 2015, China's pallet stock maintained rapid growth, while total production gradually stabilized. It is projected that in the next five years, China's pallet stock will peak at around 1.2 billion to 1.5 billion units.

It is projected that in the next five years, China's pallet stock will peak at around 1.2 billion to 1.5 billion units.
China's pallet enterprises are concentrated in economic zones including the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, the Bohai Rim region, as well as major cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, and Beijing—accounting for approximately 35% of the total number of enterprises and about 60% of the total pallet output. Currently, pallets conforming to the two standard specifications recommended by national standards account for roughly 20% of the total; pallets meeting other international standards and industry-specific pallet standards make up around 45% of the total; the remainder are non-standard, custom-made pallets that do not meet any standards at all.
According to market research and calculations by the Pallet Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, wooden pallets currently account for 78% of all pallets in China, making wood still the primary material used for pallets. Practice has shown that wood is a renewable resource and an ideal environmentally friendly material.
